Early in 2011, I and a good friend, Tamyka Washington (@TheCEOMamma), began to collaborate on a project that fits us both very well: we reach out to disadvantaged moms to help them get expert training and mentorship for starting or starting over their businesses or organizations.
We named our organization WAHMs WIN, and have been steadily building our leadership team and reaching out to community leaders who serve these moms already, so that we'll be prepared to help disadvantaged women on the south side of Atlanta in the Fall and Spring of 2011-2012.
In the process of building this awesome community-benefit organization, we have actually started a movement: a movement of building community within our community of business women who are networking online and offline.
During the month of August 2011, we are having weekly calls every Monday evening at 8pm EST where our moderators are leading a panel of experts in a discussion of subtopics related to our main topic which is "How to Develop Savvy in Your Business Relationships".
On Monday August 1st and 8th, Wendy Y. Bailey of GroupCoaching Mastery.com was our moderator and led the discussions about how authenticity and how money impact your business relationships. You can read about these calls and/or order the recordings at http://wahmswin.org
