Creative E-Newsletters Are the Answer!
I don't know about you, but I have been on email overload lately. With the rise of spam mail and everyone sending you e-newsletters, it's pretty hard to keep up.
Recently, I have been receiving some great e-newsletters that are easy to read and it doesn't take long to read them. I asked myself, what is it about these newsletters tht I like? Why am I willing to click and read them? I felt that if I could answer these questions, perhaps I could apply what I answered to my own e-newsltters. Here are my answers:
- Short content blurbs. The writers of the newsletters gave me quick and simply content blurbs and if I wanted to read more, I could easily click on a link leading to the main website.
- Timely Topics. Topics were of use to me and I appreciated a few links to other resources that I could use.
- Coupons with Deep Discounts. If there were coupons being offered they usually gave big discounts like 30-40% off and not the usual 10% that everybody else gives
- I personally subscribed to the e-newsletter. I subscribed to the newsletter, because I was interested in the topic, therefore, I was more willing to open it.
