What do you do when you need an income, money to market your business and nothing seems to be working in your business?  That’s the question that many business women are asking today and the answer is believe it or not, all within your reach!  It’s very difficult to keep moving forward when you have to jump over many hurdles and you haven’t had a break-through.  Not only does it make you feel broke, but it works on your psyche and causes chronic stress and sometimes even depression.

Meeting Up with Your Greatness!

If you were to open up a magazine and saw a featured success article covering your life what would your story be? If you were to write your obituary, what would it say? What is it that you are purposed and driven to be and do? Whatever you see yourself accomplishing and being, it is defined as your vision and the goals and actions you implement to reach your vision is your life plan.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Psalms 29:18 KJV). What is it that you want out of life? What do you want to experience? What would you like to pass on to your bloodline? What will be your contribution to your African American people? What is your purpose in life?

It seems everywhere I turn news about the economy is sounding gloomier than ever and as business women, we can't help but worry and wonder how this will impact our business. While many consumers are tightening up their wallets and spending less they are also still purchasing much needed services and products.

Who are you and what is it that you want out of life?  These are questions that we should all seek the answers to and examine frequently.  It is when we are honest about what we are feeling and what we want to experience that we can begin to live a more fulfilled life.

As I experience the blessing of getting older, one of the biggest lessons I have learned is that the more authentic you are with yourself the more meaningful and joyful life becomes.

My grandmother use to say, "If you live long enough you will have problems and challenges, good times and bad times".    Of course, when I was younger the true meaning of that statement didn't give me an "ah-ha moment", but now that I have lived life a little longer I now welcome those wise words.

What comes to mind when you think of a successful business woman? What type of woman runs a successful enterprise? How would you describe her? What does she look like, how does she dress and present herself? The best way to describe her is to look into the mirror.
